Remodeling can be enjoyable and fulfilling, but with so many choices to make and millions of possibilities, figuring out what you want can be daunting. Here are some resources to help you navigate your way through the process.

WHERE TO GET IDEAS

The best place to get ideas, bar none, is the Houzz website. There you can browse or search through thousands of photos of projects from all over the country. You can search by keyword, so if you are looking for a drop-in tub for instance, you’ll get photos of hundreds of examples. You can save these to your Ideabook, which you can share with your contractor (Nueva!), designer or architect. You can also get ideas by visiting kitchen and bath showrooms and tile stores to see their displays or from remodeling magazines. Be sure to make clippings or snap a cell phone picture to share with your contractor or designer.

    A good designer can help with everything from layout, to materials selection, to wall colors. Here are some great designers that we've worked with.

    CABINETS

    Cabinetry can either be custom made or purchased from a cabinet shop. Although custom cabinets are built specifically for your application, the semi-custom cabinets from a cabinet shop are highly customizable and the shop will help you with your layout. 

    Here are a few places to go for cabinetry, both manufactured and custom built.

      Cornerstone provides high quality pre-fabricated granite and quartz countertop material. Although with pre-fab, selection is somewhat limited and usually only standard bullnosed and mitred edges are available, if it meets your needs, it will save you money. Worth a look.
